STORE POLICY
Shipping Policy
All orders are shipped via FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, Royal Mail or Air Freight Shipping. The day your order ships, you will receive an e-mail containing your tracking number(s) so you can make arrangements to pickup your items from the airport or to sign for your order upon scheduled arrival by the carrier.
Shipping Policy
With only a few exceptions (heavy weight items like ballast, chillers, sand, salt, some water pumps etc.) or large size boxes, we don't charge our customers extra for heavy or oversized drygood items delivered using standard ground service within the 48 connecting states. This charge will automatically be calculated for you at checkout. Heavy and/or bulk items may be the exception. We will notify you if extra shipping charges apply and you will have the option to either proceed or cancel your order.
All orders for Alaska, Hawaii, & U.S. Territories require Air Delivery. Please contact us for shipping information to these regions.
Refused Packages - DO NOT DO THIS!
Do not under any circumstances REFUSE a package at the time of delivery. Any package being sent back to us for ANY REASON must have an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number and use prepaid shipping. Please login to your account and use the RMA form after receiving the product to arrange shipping the product back to us. Any refusal of packages without authorization will be considered a successful DELIVERY. You will also be responsible for the cost of return shipping and handling if you refuse an order.
If you refuse a parcel post delivery we will require you to pay the return shipping cost prior to us picking up the package before processing it. DO NOT DO THIS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!
Shipping Policy - Glass Products (Lamps, Tanks, etc)
Any type of glass product is not returnable AT ALL if broken in transit/delivery, PERIOD! All Glass products have a high chance of being broken/scratched during transit and we will not take responsibility for this. Orders containing glass products are at your own risk. We highly discourage ordering any type of glass product from us to have shipped (pickup is fine). If you do order a glass product from us because of our low prices please remember it could end up costing you more in the long run!
We do not ship tanks or lamps in boxes. We ship lamps wrapped in just enough bubble wrap to help protect them while still allowing a person to see what is wrapped inside. Tanks are wrapped in plastic to help protect them from scratches and to allow a person to see what is inside. We have found from experience this works the best overall. If you wish to have your package shipped differently from this please let us know within 24 hours of your order. Extra shipping may be required.
Again, please keep in mind that glass products are not returnable/replacable due to damage once the product has left our premises!
Shipping to a different address
If you wish to send your complete order to an address that is different than the billing address you provide us, simply enter the delivery address in the Ship To Information page during Checkout. Please make sure you have this address listed in Paypal also.
Splitting an Order between Two Shipping Addresses
If you are splitting the order between two addresses (i.e. sending some products to one address and other products to a different address), each order will need to be entered separately. See "Shipping to a Different Address" above for instructions on sending products to an address different than your billing address. Shipping and handling charges will be added to each order.
Undeliverable Packages
If we ship an order to the shipping address you provide and it's undeliverable by the USPS we will do what we can to help get the order re-routed to you (including reshipping if it is returned to us) but we will not take responsibility for an error made by the customer. We will not refund an order due to an incorrect address entry by the customer. Please make sure your shipping address is correct for USPS deliveries. In the event that we make a mistake we will issue you a refund or ship you out another order while we do what we can to retrieve the package.
OPTIONAL: In the event an order is undeliverable and we mutually agree to refund back your order there will most likely be a 20% restocking fee imposed by the distributor to take back the products. Once we have received a refund from the distributor we will refund the cost of the products back minus the restocking fee to you. There will be no refund on the shipping if the error was not on our part. We first have to get the products back in our possession. Then we need to file a return with the distributor and of course give them the products. Normally in one to two weeks we will have a refund from the distributor. Please note it can take time to get a package retrieved from the USPS if it goes to recovery.
Order Processing and Delivery Times
Once an order has been paid for we will check stock levels of all items you have ordered. We will order any products not in stock needed for your order from our distributors to complete your order. Each distributor requires different amounts of time to process and deliver each order to us. We will normally have all products in stock to fill your order in 3 to 10 days but if a product is backordered at a distributor it can take 14 to 21 days for us to get your product(s). Once we have received all products needed to complete your order we will ship your order. In the event not all products are available after 30 days following the next business day of your payment to us we will either cancel your order and refund your purchase or we will send the products we have received and refund you on any products not sent on your order. Our company solely determines how this is handled. If you have a preference please let customer service know via email and we will note your order with a special handling consideration.
Cancelled Orders
Once an order has been paid for it can not be cancelled without our permission and there may be a restocking fee of 20% depending on the state of our orders to our distributors. There may also be a charge to ship the products back to the distributors. Some distributors do not allow a product to be cancelled once the order is placed. We will work with you to the best of our ability should the need arise but please keep in mind it may be out of our control. In the event a particular product is backordered there will not be a restocking fee on it.
